Doug Van Gundy, poetry editor

Doug Van Gundy directs the low-residency MFA creative writing program at West Virginia Wesleyan College. His poems, essays and reviews have appeared in many publications, including Poetry, The Guardian, The Oxford American, Appalachian Heritage, and STILL: The Journal.  His first collection of poems, A Life above Water, is published by Red Hen Press.   He is co-editor of the anthology Eyes Glowing at the Edge of the Woods: Contemporary Writing from West Virginia.

In addition to writing and teaching, Doug plays fiddle, guitar and mandolin in the acclaimed old-time music duo, Born Old.
